Taking back the waterfront...

This photo was taken at Hong Kong's Quarry Bay waterfront where part of the Eastern Corridor (a flyover highway) stands.

It is also on a strip of reclaimed land (land made by filling a body or water or part of a body of water with a huge amount of heavy rock and/or cement).

Access to the bridge piers supporting the Eastern Corridor was mostly blocked, but people do find their ways to the space under the flyover to get close to water, go recreational fishing, take smoke breaks, or have me-time.

The person in the photo put on snorkel gear on his head, but couldn't do any aquatic activities in the water.
